My name is Silvia; I am a Librarian. Originally from Southern California, I started my adult life in Albuquerque, NM. The skies here are very expressive. I am working towards a second Masters in English Literature (18th and 19th century/transatlantic, but favoring British/new historicist tendencies).
Watson is my dog; he is a West Highland White Terrier rescued from the Desert Haven Animal Refuge on September 19th, 2010. He is named for Sherlock Holmes’ Dr. Watson. Watson likes carrots. His mother was a mountain goat. His father was a shark. It was a doomed romance, so they gave him up for adoption.
Conor is my boyfriend; he is a pianist and lives in Brooklyn. I visit as often as work and school allow. Hammered! is his radio show. Conor likes knolling, György Ligeti, and the spicy chilli oil offered alongside pizza.
I spend a lot of time thinking about breakfast, digging in my garden, and following Watson along rivers and up mountains. I like poetry, public radio, and feelings. Sunday mornings belong to Church of Beethoven/Chatter.
