“Is it okay that we are so late?” Conor asks.
“I think it is okay. Jerry is probably looking at denim.”
Later, at lunch, we apologize. “We were about to leave but then we remembered that my mom had ice cream so we decided to eat some. Then, it seemed like it would be hard to eat ice cream while driving. We got distracted because we are greedy, basically. What were you doing?”
“Oh, looking at denim,” Jerry said.

Tina’s mom invited us over for lunch and by “lunch” she meant, come hang out for five hours, eat absurd amounts of food, drink some tea, and then eat all the food again.
