A few pictures from the day Kelli and Dan started their marriage. I was on hand as a bear-wrangler.
Later that night, long after vows and champagne and cake, we sat around my living room. Kelli and Dan gave Max many hugs and promised him presents from their honeymoon travels. It was the sort of day that felt like it might mean everything would be different, but not really.
“Your baby sister is almost here” Kelli told him. “WOOF,” said Max. I felt exactly the same way.
Maybe I should be doing laundry or writing about Victorian conceptions of tragedy or transitioning my closet to Spring, but DOG PLAY DATE. LOOK AT THEIR FACES.
“Can Max stay with you while I go to this thing?”
“Sure. Oh wait, I’m going to be at work for a while longer. Do you want to bring him by the library?”
“Won’t people notice?”
“It’s okay. I’ll sneak him in while I finish up.”
“HAHA. GOOD LUCK WITH THAT. ‘SNEAK’ MAX. You’re funny.”
Look at him. He’s practically invisible.
Pictures of me, pictures of Watson.
Kelli and Dan are engaged! Let’s indulge in their lurrrrve.
Max confides that he was always certain it would come to this, and hopes that weddings come with cookies and possibly people who want to play tug.
Anonymous asked: Um, dirty chai is the BEST! Also, Watson is a moose chasing a goose who was let loose by a man named Bruce. Miss you! Kelli
Today Kelli brought me a library book, a chai latte (sorry, Conor) (I’m totally kidding) (Conor is pro beverages of all kinds), and the following snacks:
She also brought the only thing better than snacks — a bear!!

Everyone knows that when grandmothers visit, puppies get giant bones.
I like Watsy’s bum-in-the-air dedication to chewing. Way to go for it, Watson.
Tina took these pictures of Max and Watson being attentive cake-making assistants.
Conor gives away all of his orange, which means I have to give him some of my orange and once again, these chubby dogs with fluffy tails come out on top.
