Waffles are more delicious on weekday mornings. Most Thursdays, I am gearing up for a 12-13 hour work-and-school day. This day, waffles followed by naps, snacks, Franck’s Violin Sonata in A Major, and watching ducks. I am so good at vacation.
Lunch with Jerry at Gjelina in Venice.
“Is it okay that we are so late?” Conor asks.
“I think it is okay. Jerry is probably looking at denim.”
Later, at lunch, we apologize. “We were about to leave but then we remembered that my mom had ice cream so we decided to eat some. Then, it seemed like it would be hard to eat ice cream while driving. We got distracted because we are greedy, basically. What were you doing?”
“Oh, looking at denim,” Jerry said.
An email from Kelli:
Watson and I bonded at lunch. He’s a dog after my spider hating heart <3 :) After I ate I went to rest in my room and as I was laying in bed Watson hopped up. Originally I went to shooo him off but then decided to hug him instead. Suddenly his ears went back and he was staring intently at the wall. I thought it was silly looking so I snapped a photo. Then, he started growling, and barked. I turned to see what he was looking at and then I screamed. There was not one, there were not two, BUT THREE spiders climbing down the wall towards us. The one in front was being chased by one behind who was being chased by the biggest guy, or maybe they were ALL TRYING TO EAT US!
Kelli is now attempting to identify all three spiders. In case there is any doubt, we have a lot of marketable skills.
justinetf asked: I just realized the one that you got was the one that Jerry wanted. LOL!
Aw, poor Yerry. His life is hard. We have similar palettes, which can sometimes lead to competition for scarce resources.
Less so when it comes to very expensive fixies, 60’s style swim trunks, ruffled curtains, or JCrew necklaces, but always when little ceramic jugs are concerned.
